Liburrrrrrrrrrr!

Finally, we bought the one-way tickets to Surabaya for this year-end holiday. It was kind a odd for some people to find us easily pointed out Madura for our next trip, due to it’s well-known “reputation”. Well, anyway, I-myself, don’t really bother that much, I think Madura is one of the sexiest island that I could see from above.. of course using Google Earth lah.. The hot and dry land of Madura surely is a good spot to developed such a harsh culture, and thats what people always afraid of when they heard the name “Madura”, it’s a trademark somehow. But, you never know till you actually there!

One of my friend told me scary things about Maduraneese with it’s well-known “Carok” tradition. But then my Acheh friend told me, “Oh c’mon, people said bad things about Aceh but nothing really happened down there”. And he mention about Australia’s Travel Warning toward us and is there any thing that we really scare of with being living in Indo’s?

Anyway, besides the beauty of nature, Madura also hold one great history in the past, reflected in their buildings and culture. So, I think it’s a must see destination. Well, I will covered things up perhaps after The New Year. Besides Madura, we are gonna visit Lumpur Porong in Surabaya, then moving to Malang, then perhaps visiting Solo to see the Sex Temple of Sukuh (hehehe), Jogja, then back home to B-Town. I think this is a much better way to enjoy holidays without spending too much money in one perticular day. I mean, visiting mall in one day could made you easily drop out Rp.500.000, with all the stupid yet expensive parking fee. But with this kinda trip, perhaps Rp.500.000 bisa 3-4 harian… he he he.. VIVA LA BACKPACKING!
